We're inviting local artists to submit up to 5 design concepts, which may then be selected, to be brought to life on one of eight large 3D duck sculptures. You don’t need to be a professional artist, but you do need the skills to execute your design to a high standard. If you’ve got the creativity and vision to transform one of our ducks, we want to hear from you!
Important: Should your design be chosen, artists must be available to paint the duck between December 2025 and January 2025.

How will designs be chosen?
Final designs will be chosen through a public vote, giving the community the chance to have their say on which ducks they’d love to see in their towns. Shortlisted designs will be showcased online where people can view the entries and vote for their favourites. It’s a great opportunity to get your work in front of a wide audience and be part of a fun, creative celebration of Amber Valley.
